Bridges to Mental Health Credit Claim - January 25-26, 2024

Mental illness directly affects 1 in 5 Nebraskans and Iowans. Think about a typical clinic day and how many people you see who are experiencing mental illness. There is a substantial shortage of mental health providers in our region and country. Our workforce challenge is severely unmet. To begin to address this problem, we trialed a two-day session with primary care, specialists, and advanced practice providers. The results were encouraging. Ratings of competence and confidence increased. We learned valuable lessons about content expectations to hone our next session.
