Application Process:This is a 38-week specialty certificate program.Requirements for admission include graduation from, or current enrollment in an AGNP or FNP program of nursing, or a PA program. If currently enrolled in an AGNP, FNP or PA program, you must have completed Advanced Physical Assessment, Advanced Pharmacology and Advanced Pathophysiology) prior to the fall start date of the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine specialty certificate program. Transcripts need to be uploaded for review.There are no clinical hours included with this certificate, but to be eligible for the ONP-C certification exam, you will need to have completed a minimum of 2000 hours of advanced practice nursing work within the last 3 years prior to the examination. And be an actively practicing nurse practitioner caring for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Successful completion of this certificate, along with the aforementioned requirements, will provide eligibility to sit for the ONP-C exam.2 letters of recommendation and a personal statement that describes your motivation to complete the program and your professional aspirations with the specialty certificate are required.
