Brenden Tervo-Clemmens, PhD

Dr. Tervo-Clemmens is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He completed graduate training in Clinical Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, respectively, and a Predoctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on understanding the emergence of psychiatric and substance use disorders during adolescence and uses techniques from cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychopathology research, and data science. He is also engaged in methodological research aiming to evaluate and improve the reproducibility and ultimately, clinical utility, of large-scale (big data) MRI research in neurodevelopmental studies of adolescence. His work is supported by a Massachusetts General Hospital and National Institute on Drug Abuse K12 Career Development Award and an early career award (Visionary Grant) from the American Psychological Foundation.
