Dr. Jennifer Greenberg is an Assistant Professor of Psychology (Psychiatry) at Harvard Medical School and Director of Translational Research in the Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Greenberg is an expert in the assessment and cognitive-behavioral treatment of body image and obsessive compulsive spectrum disorders across the lifespan, with an emphasis on BDD. Dr. Greenberg has published 40 articles and several chapters on the phenomenology, clinical features, and treatment of BDD and other OC spectrum disorders, and she been invited to deliver nearly 30 professional talks on CBT and body image, nationally and internationally. She is an ad-hoc reviewer for almost 20 peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Greenberg sees adolescent and adult patients through the OCD and Related Disorders Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital and in private practice. She also supervises junior faculty and trainees on CBT and OC spectrum disorders.

Dr. Greenberg’s research has focused on treatment outcome and cognitive risk factors that may play a role in the etiology and maintenance of body image and OC spectrum disorders. Dr. Greenberg received a grant from the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF) to investigate attention bias in BDD using eye tracking. She is a Co-Investigator with Dr. Wilhelm (PI) on an NIMH-funded grant examining the most promising treatment for BDD (CBT), as compared to the most widely received treatment for BDD (supportive psychotherapy). In addition to an expertise in treatment application, Dr. Greenberg has been actively involved in treatment development for understudied variants of BDD, including BDD in adolescence and BDD by proxy.
