Mindfulness for Generalized Anxiety Disorder

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how cognitive behavioral therapy models conceptualize of worry.
  • Recite how mindfulness skills can help patients with generalized anxiety disorder interrupt the automatic cycle of anxiety and avoidance that perpetuates worry.
  • Demonstrate how to use mindfulness exercises, such as mindfulness of breath and mindfulness of emotions, with patients with generalized anxiety disorder.
