T.H. Eric Bui, MD, PhD is a psychiatrist and researcher in the field of anxiety and traumatic stress. After finishing his medical education, residency, and Ph.D. in neuroscience in France, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, gaining further experience in research on anxiety, and stress related conditions including the newly defined condition of complicated grief. He currently serves as the Associate Director for Research of the Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders and Complicated Grief Program, and a research psychiatrist at the Red Sox Foundation/Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program for returning veterans. His main interest is to further the understanding of the causes of anxiety and stress-related disorders, and their effective prevention and treatment. He currently serves as co-investigator on six large NIH- or DOD- funded studies. To date, he has published over 70 scientific papers or book chapters in the field of anxiety, and related disorders.
