Dr. Mischoulon is the Joyce Root Tedlow Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and Director of the Depression Clinical and Research Program (DCRP) of the MGH. He graduated in 1994 from the combined MD-PhD program at Boston University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in adult psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in 1998. Dr. Mischoulon’s research has focused on various areas of depression, including complementary and alternative medicine. He has received grants from NARSAD, the NIH, and NCCIH to study omega-3 fatty acids for depression. Dr. Mischoulon has authored or co-authored more than 300 original articles, review articles, and book chapters. He has co-edited a textbook on natural medications for psychiatric disorders, and a textbook on treatments of depression. He has been an invited speaker nationally and internationally, and has won several awards, including Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
