Kristin Cadenhead, MD
Professor of Psychiatry and Director of Residency Training - University of California San Diego
Dr. Cadenhead is a graduate of Rice University and University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed her residency in psychiatry and fellowship in schizophrenia research at UCSD. She is a Professor of Psychiatry, Residency Program Director and the Director of the Cognitive Assessment and Risk Evaluation (CARE) Early Psychosis Research and Treatment Program at UCSD. Her primary research interests include psychosis risk prediction, biomarkers and treatment in the early phases of a psychotic illness. She is part of multiple research consortia including the North American Prodome Longitudinal Studies (NAPLS), ProNET: Psychosis-Risk Outcomes Network, Harmonization of At Risk Multisite Observational Networks for Youth (HARMONY) and EPINET: California Collaborative Network to Promote Data Driven Care and Improve Outcomes in Early Psychosis. She has worked extensively with young patients suffering from psychotic disorders, offering evidenced based psychosocial and pharmacologic treatments.
