The psychodynamic case conference is an annual training to enhance knowledge in the clinical field especially through discussion around insight-oriented approaches to complex cases. Psychodynamic theory approaches case conceptualization of understanding in-depth unconscious and conscious processes related to one’s sense of self, interpersonal relatedness, defense mechanisms and attachment styles. This conference offers a multifaced approach to a clinical case. A presenter will read a clinical case write up, then following the write up the discussant’s will each read their written conceptualization of the case. This will then be followed with a Q and A from the audience.
