Managing explosive behavior in children within educational settings is a significant concern, with discrepancies between empirical evidence for management of these youth and the interventions implemented in schools. Recent literature emphasizes the complexity of addressing aggressive and defiant behaviors, which are not only disruptive but also pose safety risks and can impair emotional development and academic performance. Review of school-based interventions for aggression and defiance, for example, underscores the modest effect sizes of interventions in the school setting, highlighting the importance of adherence to high-quality implementations
