Division of Clinical Research Genetics and Genomics Series: Psychiatric Genetics: A Current Perspective

Using modern genetic epidemiological tools, I will address four topics of clinical interest: i) Prediction of Onset of Substance-Induced Psychotic Disorder and Its Progression to Schizophrenia, ii) the genetic relationships among major psychotic and affective disorders, iii) the genetic substrate for suicide attempt and suicide death and iv) the possible interaction between genetic risk scores for Substance Use Disorders and the Genetic Potential for Educational Attainment.
