This lecture will discuss the creation and evolution of the Cardiac Psychiatry Research Program in developing interventions to promote the mental health of persons with heart disease and related medical conditions. It will outline the program’s prior, ongoing, and future studies, and it will describe the program’s personnel and their accomplishments as it relates to the field of cardiac psychiatry.
