Learning Objectives

Sheldon Benjamin, MD is Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology, Director of Neuropsychiatry, and Vice Chair for Education in Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts T H Chan School of Medicine, where he served as Director of Psychiatry Residency Training for 25 years. He was the founding Director of the combined neurology/psychiatry residency program and served 4 years as Interim Chair of Psychiatry.. He underwent residency training and is board certified in both Psychiatry and Neurology as well as in Behavioral Neurology/Neuropsychiatry. He is Past President of the American Neuropsychiatric Association (ANPA) and the American Association of Directors of Psychiatry Residency Training(AADPRT),and currently serves as a Psychiatry Director of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)and a member of the Psychiatry Residency Review Committee of the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education(ACGME). He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA, and is a fellow both of ANPA and the American Academy of Neurology.
Caitlin Adams, MD, is an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a CL trained psychiatrist at Mass General Hospital. She completed residency in adult psychiatry at Indiana University and fellowship in CL psychiatry at Mass General Hospital. She currently works in the psycho-oncology department, emergency psychiatry department as well as an embedded psychiatrist within the Division of Behavioral Neurology and Integrated Brain Medicine. Areas of clinical interest include functional neurological disorder, psychiatric and behavioral issues in patients with neurological disorders
Dr. Alice Lam is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital. After receiving her MD/PhD from the University of Michigan, she completed her residency training in neurology at Partners Neurology (Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital). She completed fellowship training in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She is currently a full-time faculty member in the Department of Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital. As a physician, Dr. Lam takes care of patients in both the subspecialty Epilepsy Clinic as well as the Memory Disorders Unit, and she serves as Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at MGH.As a researcher, Dr. Lam leads a clinical research group that explores the relationships between epilepsy, the neurodegenerative diseases, sleep and cognition. She was inaugurated as a Fellow of the American Epilepsy Society in 2021, and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Clinical Research Committee for the American Epilepsy Society

Lara Basovic, MD, is an Instructor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and an Epileptologist a Massachusetts General Hospital.
