The NEJM Case Records of the MGH presents a clinicopathological conference: A woman with a remote history of depression was evaluated because of nightmares, dysphoria, and suicidal ideation in the setting of physical symptoms and home quarantine related to Covid-19. Management decisions were made.

  • Apply diagnostic frameworks in the approach to psychiatric symptoms in a medically ill patient with significant psychosocial vulnerabilities.

  • Explore and discuss the approach to developing a comprehensive treatment plan to target psychological distress.
