The 8th Michael S. Jellinek, M.D., Lecture in Child Psychiatry; Neural Biomarkers, Longitudinal Clinical Course, and International Advocacy of Major Depression in Children
This lecture will discuss longitudinal investigations that evaluate clinical risk indicators of pediatric depression as well as the neural underpinnings of the risk for depression in children. In addition to scientific investigations, we will also discuss the advocacy on mental health awareness in children, which is a crucial issue internationally.

At the end of this presentation participants will be able to:
- Identify the common symptomatology of depression presented in children.
- Describe the clinical risks that could present early in life for children who may develop major depressive disorder in the future.
- Explain the neural underpinnings that could represent the biomarkers of the risk for depression.
