Module 3: Face Fears
The urge to avoid uncomfortable situations is biologically driven, but continuing to avoid can get us stuck spinning over time. The longer we avoid that which is making us uncomfortable, the harder it becomes to engage in those situations without being overwhelmed by stress and anxiety. In this module, Dr. Marques teaches an evidence-based, step-by-step method of approaching uncomfortable situations. The module features a lecture on the science and steps of this skill, followed by two videos in which Dr. Marques works with Diego to help him overcome his fear of taking a test that has big implications for his career and livelihood.
