Learning Objectives

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Participants will identify how intersecting identities (e.g., race, culture, gender, sexual orientation) impact perinatal mental health experiences.
  • Clinicians will acknowledge identity-informed approaches to assessment, and conceptualization interventions within a perinatal CBT framework, adapting techniques to respect and integrate clients’ diverse backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
  • Participants will explore how couples and family systems perspectives enhance perinatal CBT by addressing relational dynamics, familial roles, and culturally specific expectations around parenting and support structures.
