11th Annual Jack Green, M.D., Lecture in Psychiatry: Racism in Academic Psychiatry: Hiding beneath the cloak of our benevolence

As we walk through the history of medicine and psychiatry together, we will see examples of how racism has been there from the very beginning. We will grapple with this history together as we try to understand the way forward.

This program is intended for: Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Fellows, Residents, Interns and Nurses

At the end of this presentation participants will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of examples of racism throughout the history of psychiatry
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of examples of racism in present day academic psychiatry
  3. Develop concrete steps to that you can personally take to eliminate racism in academic psychiatry
