Eric Helmuth

For 19 years Eric Helmuth has built and directed large-scale online interventions and national communications programs on mental health and addiction issues. He is currently project manager for VetChange.org with the National Center for PTSD and VA Boston, where he leads technical development and national promotion for the service. Mr. Helmuth helped develop QuitNet.com, the first smoking cessation program on the web used by millions of people, and he led the development of AlcoholScreening.org, which has screened over 1.8 million people for unhealthy drinking. Eric is currently Director of Internet Services at the Department of Health Policy and Management at Boston University School of Public Health. He also consults in the area of recruiting online research subjects for behavioral health interventions for the RAND Corporation and other clients. Eric holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Akron.
