Tommy Furlong

Tommy Furlong is a 2007 graduate of Berklee College of Music. Following his college graduation in 2007, Furlong was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.
In October of 2008, he graduated from The Basic School and Infantry Officer School and was assigned to 3rd Battalion 6th Marines in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. While with the 3rd Battalion 6th Marines, Furlong deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan as a Fire Support Team Leader (JTAC), Weapons Platoon Commander and Rifle Platoon Commander.
While in Afghanistan, Furlong was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon and Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Valor for his service in combat. In 2011, Furlong was Honorably Discharged from active duty service.
