Lowell Public Schools & MGH Psychiatry Academy Training Series 2023-24

Despite progress made in the area of school psychiatry over the past 2 decades, there remains much to be learned about the provision of health care in the school setting. Some of the continued struggles in schools relate to broad concerns about child and adolescent psychiatry generally (lack of diagnostic specificity, concerns about efficacies of treatments, etc.,) but there are also school specific concerns, especially following the decreased socialization of youth following the COVID pandemic and continued concerns about learning gaps in children post-pandemic. This 8 session training program will concentrate on issues that are particularly pertinent to schools. In addition to providing the most up-to-date information on managing the most frequent struggles in youth.                                              Each monthly lecture is accredited for up to 1.0 CE.
