Dr. Rashmi Sarkar,MD,FAMS, is a Director Professor of Dermatology at Lady Hardinge Medical College and Associated Hospitals, Delhi University, New Delhi, India. Internationally and nationally renowned, she has done her MBBS from DMC, Ludhiana and MD (Dermatology) from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. She has been teaching for 23 years in five prestigious Medical colleges in India.

She has published over 200 articles in international and national journals, 80 chapters in textbooks and edited 16 books including the popular  book "Chemical Peels- A Global Perspective" with Dr Wendy Roberts and ”Melasma - a Monograph” in its third edition. Additionally she is a popular speaker at conferences all over the world including Annual AAD. She was Editor in Chief,Pigment International journal(2016-2020) and Co Editor ,Asian Journal of Pediatric Dermatology(AJPD).

Currently she is President Elect in the IADVL, Founder Chair and President of of the Pigmentary Disorders Society, Vice-President of the International Society of Dermatology and Asian Society of Pediatric Dermatology,Chair of ISD International Mentorship Committee and  board member in many other national and international societies including SOCS and WDS and also a recipient of several prestigious awards including Member Making a Difference Award from AAD.
